If you’ve determined which types of businesses are most likely to spend money with you, start putting together lists of those businesses. Too many businesses don’t create lists or don’t organize them.
Nicely put, prospecting without an organized list is stupid and will slow you down tremendously.
If you’re working another job and have to prospect during your free time, having a list is even
more important since your free time is so limited and valuable.
A well organized list or database of prospects will help keep track of who you should talk to, who
you’ve already talked to, and who you need to follow up with.
Always remember to think about that million dollar investment — I’m sure you wouldn’t just
randomly go out talking to people and hoping something will come from it.
You’d create a targeted list of likely buyers and develop systems to reach everyone on it.
