Stickam, the largest live online video community, today announced it has added live group video chat to its Facebook application.
Now, in addition to broadcasting live video to friends and fans on Facebook, the Stickam app lets users host group chats and interact with fans directly on their pages.
The all new Stickam Facebook app also helps increase page fans with an optional feature requiring visitors to like the page in order to see the live video or group chat.
Facebook just surpassed one trillion page views, so it makes perfect sense to offer Stickams most popular interactive live video offerings within the social network, said Hideki Kishioka, co-founder of Stickam. The new option to require likes is a great way to capture some of those eyes.
Live online video is all about the fan interaction, said Stu Stone, host of The Sunday Nite Stu, Stickams longest running Web show which just crossed 7 million viewers. The Stickam community has been using group chat for some time, and its exciting to expand this capability to Facebooks 750+ million active users.
Stickam is holding a competition inviting members to submit a unique and innovative video of their Stickam Group media player with all 12 camera slots filled. The winner will receive a new Macbook Air and 50 custom designed t-shirts for their group members. Entries must be received by September 12, 2011 at noon PDT.
