Research Triangle Park, NC (Vocus/PRWEB) April 14, 2011
ChannelAdvisor, an e-commerce platform provider that enables online retailers to sell more across online channels, announced today a new addition to its group of blogs: Facebook Commerce Strategies. The blog will focus on Facebook commerce as it relates to retailers, an underserved market, and will provide thought leadership, industry expertise and proprietary research on Facebook statistics.
Were constantly receiving questions from our customers about how they should approach Facebook since there isnt a source specifically dedicated to helping retailers understand this space, said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. We see enormous potential for retailers to tap into the reach of Facebook and capitalize on the opportunities available both within Facebook and by implementing Facebook applications on their own websites.
Highlights of the Facebook Commerce Strategies blog include the Facebook Commerce Index as well as the forthcoming Facebook Commerce Framework. The Facebook Commerce Index is a monthly report published by ChannelAdvisor that tracks, according to fan count, the Top 25 Retailers, Top 25 Growers by fan count and Top 25 Growers by percentage. The blog will explore the tactics that retailers are using to create growth and analyze the success of select retailers.
The ChannelAdvisor Facebook Commerce Framework, recently unveiled at the ChannelAdvisor US Catalyst Conference, is a series of seven ways that retailers can leverage Facebook Commerce today. Wingo will announce each of the seven steps on the Facebook Commerce Strategies blog, with detailed information and statistics about the strategy. Some of the strategies include using Facebook Credits as another payment form, putting Facebook Connect to use and adding Facebook Ads both on Facebook and on your own website. While not all seven strategies are likely to produce immediate material results, the purpose of the framework is to provide a menu of Facebook commerce strategies that retailers can experiment with to get ahead of the curve.
Retailers can learn more about the opportunities available on Facebook during a joint webinar with Facebook and ChannelAdvisor on April 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm ET. Retailers can sign up next week athttp://www.channeladvisor.com/webinars.
